The death level is easy to prove, and will only take 5 min, go to the abbey as I said and pull a moa, let it kill you and after a few deaths it will level. If it can level once it can do so again as long as it gets xp from you. Why are people so fast to scream hoax?

I think people believed this to be a hoax because this title is a bit on the stupid side.

Getting killed over and over by a Moa to become a Legendary Defender of Ascalon? Waiting for the Charr to kill your Char (...) to take revenge later?

It is not wonder that the Charr overrun Ascalon when the king handed out titles like that for such an odd behaviour.

That's interesting, must only work in presearing then, because I put on 5 superior runes on Shing Jea armor and let a crab kill me a few hundred times and it was still level 5. Then I realized I could cap the crab from Boreas

However you can feel free to enlighten us all as to what the "new method" is for obtaining level 20 in presear
Pets do level by killing you, I tested it a couple of days ago with the moa in ashford. I wasn't really looking but it seemed to be about 12-13 kills for it to go up to level 2, with me being level 1 and wearing no armour.

That's interesting, I seriously did let the crab kill me at LEAST a few dozen times before I gave up hope of leveling it that way. I was level 20 and it was level 5, I left the crab killing me with my 1hp (After the initial death, with 5 superiors) and low end armor, for at least 15 minutes and probably more like half an hour while I read up on capturing high level pets and realized I could just go get my crab from Boreas Seabed.

At lv 13 the bird will level up after your first 2 deaths, then 5 deaths, the number will go up as the bird levels much the same as you do with other npc kills. At one time some high lv players helped people get a lv 20 pet, took them 2hr to lv the pets up I beleave.

Interesting idea. Though i think lvl 15 pets comes as Elder as Default while your method should result "eventually" with a dire pet evolution. I was gonna suggest that perhaps you want to cast frenzy to half the time spend until i read the 1hp part. A funny method none the less.

In any case all this is going off topic, has any one confirmed that this is a haox otherwise?

I guess you never did read the manual that came with Prophecies, as it did mention many times how Ascalon was destroyed in the searing.
I knew about it even before I started playing.

Don't forget the first line in the game: "The last day dawns on the Kingdom of Ascalon."

So yeah, it was all foreshadowed anyway.

the people that go for this title deserve it, it proves they truly have no life and therefor should get their own special title. What is the point of being level 20 in pre sear???

They have no life is not a valid comment. How one player spends time in game is no different from how others choose to spend time in the game, the end result is the same, we all get enjoyment from it.

Many people stay in pre just as a place to talk to other players away from all the painful trade spamming, mush like the grotto. I myself like to dance for your enjoyment Good luck on your lv 4 character if you need help just ask dolls tonight

Hey title is a title folks. If people want to have proof they were level 20 before leaving presearing so be it. Infact I appluade their patience in doing so, even if I could do it I know I wouldn't because I'd have screamed bloody murder out of impatience to kick the hell out of some mob.

That also being said just because your level 20 in presearing don't mean you have no life. After all you get to level 16 you sit there and let the bird kill you 50 to 60 times.... In that amount of time I can get a good 6 hours of sleep in maybe, watch the entire star wars trilogy. Kill the bird go zone come back start the process again and go do something else with my life. Alright so the time is a little exagerated but you get the point.

My thoughts are also will the bird level any quicker if you have two characters standing there taking an ass beating from it? You know twice the number of kills twice the quick leveling?

Wrong. They can gain levels.

Wrong. I have a job, I have to support my 15 year old sister because her father died in May, which made me head of our household.

The higher level you are the less time it will take to level enemies

Yea, it works.

With the new title, I wonder if they have any plans on expanding the pre-searing area. New missions or monsters would be nice.
